Emtone Cellulite Treatment

Emtone is a device that simultaneously combines thermal and mechanical energy to treat all of the major factors that contribute to cellulite.

It enables treatment of the root causes instead of suppressing the symptoms by utilising a combination of monopolar radiofrequency (RF) and targeted pressure energy (TPE) to reduce the appearance of cellulite without invasion.

Emtone works by heating the skin to around 40 - 42ºC, which is the ideal temperature to stimulate new collagen production and tighten the existing collagen fibres, helping to tighten and tone the skin on the surface.

What are the primary causes of cellulite?

Emtone targets the primary causes of cellulite which include

  • Loss of elastin and collagen
  • Large fat chambers
  • Poor blood circulation
  • Metabolic waste retention
  • Fibrous bands that pull the skin downwards, resulting in large bulges on the skin.

There is a range of causes for cellulite and it doesn't appear simply when there is an excess of fat. A targeted approach is required to ensure cellulite is treated at the cause.

How does the treatment work?

Targeted monopolar Radio Frequency uses thermal energy to disrupt collagen and elastic cells, triggering the body's natural healing process and promoting a boost in production. This tightens and firms the skin on the surface.

Combined with Targeted Pressure Energy (TPE) is a mechanical form of energy using a ballistic principle to deliver rapid shockwaves of energy deep into the body. These pressure waves stimulate collagen and elastin regeneration to improve skin elasticity and revitalise the dermis. TPE also works to strengthen those fibrous bands from pulling downwards.

Where can be treated?

Emtone can be used across various places on the body. Some common treatment areas include:

  • Thighs
  • Abdomen
  • Buttocks
  • Banana Roll
  • Love Handles
  • Upper Arms

What happens during the treatment?
A conduction RF cream is applied to the area when the practitioner will make circular motions using a handheld piece that delivers both energies simultaneously. The area is treated for anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes depending on the size of the region.

A series of 4 treatments spaced 7 days apart is required for results.

Are there any contraindications?

Emtone is not recommended for those who:

  • Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
  • Electronic Implants (such as pacemakers)
  • Metal Implants at the site of treatment
  • Isotretinoin

What is the downtime?

There is no downtime for Emtone at all and the perfect lunchtime treatment. The area may have some redness that dissipates within 25 minutes post-treatment.
