Do you wish that you could just have brand new skin, removing the sun-damaged and dry layer for a bright and flawless complexion?

Chemical Peels are a fantastic option and can help treat a wide range of varying issues. With the use of acids and actives, they help to exfoliate and remove any dead or damages skin. Varying in depth from medium to superficial, they can cause very little downtime and typically you can resume your day right after treatment.

Here at Privee Clinic we stock various types of peels from the Medik8 and Mesoesthetic range which includes a wide range of different ingredients such as Lactic acid, BHA, Modified Jessner, Mandelic acid, Pyruvic acid and TCA. The peel used is dependent on your fitzpatrick skin type, your skin concerns and your own skin goals.

Different types of peels are used to help target issues and used on different skin types.

Lactic Acid Peel

The Lactic Acid peel helps stimulate production of new collagen and has a natural moisturizing effect on the skin. It does this by attracting water molecules to the skin. It is recommended for delicate areas such as the neck and décolleté as it is highly tolerated by the skin.

Lactic Acid is an AHA that targets expression lines, superficial wrinkles, and can help to brighten dull skin and give a glowing boost to your complexion.

Glycolic Acid Peel

A Glycolic acid peel is a gentle peel made from an AHA. It’s great for those starting out on peels and have sensitive skin. It helps promote cell regeneration and leaves the skin looking fresh and rejuvenated. This peel has little downtime and makeup can be worn right after if required.

Glycolic peels are great for exfoliating superficial layers of the skin, stimulating cell regeneration and reinforcing its natural barrier. Glycolic acid peels are suitable for most skin types. reinforced its natural barrier function

Mandelic Acid Peel

Mandelic Acid is a fantastic anti-ageing ingredient. It works to increase cell turnover by dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together, helping to remove dead skin on the surface that can lead to dull complexions, as well as fine lines. The mandelic peel helps to stimulate collagen to encourage skin rejuvenation and allows gentler, more gradual exfoliation.

A Mandelic Acid peel will aid in:

  • Reducing pore size
  • Improve skin tones and reduces pigmentation
  • Reduces oil secretion
  • Great for sensitive or acne prone skin
Modified Jessner Peel

Modified Jessner is a combination of effective acids that help reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles, acne and mild cases of rosacea. It is also an excellent choice for minimising signs of ageing and fine lines and wrinkles.

It’s ingredients help to tackle pigmentation issues and mild to moderate photoageing. It can also help to reduce expression lines and superficial wrinkles.
